Transcript

What advice would you give students with a major in the social sciences who are not detail-oriented about finding their first job?

I think being detail-oriented shows that you care about something. It doesn't always have to be technical, and that's not what I'm thinking about. When you're detail-oriented, you're caring about the little things.

That's what that means to me. If you're caring about the little things, that means you really enjoy what you're doing.

If you're not detail-oriented in a role, assignment, or project, it's basically showing the people around you that you're really not interested in it. I certainly would show that you care.
