Favorite Parts of Working in the Music Industry as a Senior Strategy and Special Projects Manager
Kevin, a Senior Manager at a city orchestra, finds the most rewarding aspect of his music and arts career to be the "tangible impact" of "being able to sit in on rehearsals and concerts, meet artists and musicians," and the realization that this work provides meaningful positive impacts on the community, both live and virtually. This makes the work fulfilling, especially considering the events of the past few years which highlighted the importance of the arts.

What do you enjoy most about being in the music and arts industry?
I think it's just appreciating what we do. Being able to sit in on rehearsals and concerts, and get to meet artists and musicians.
Certainly, one can argue. But when you think of the word impact, it can take many forms. For me, the impact that I am a part of by being in this industry is something relatively tangible.
I think that's what makes going to work meaningful and fulfilling. Especially over the last few years, what society went through has shown that what we do in this industry is important, even if you don't think about it day to day.
It has the power to make a positive impact, both in the community with live concerts, as well as virtually. I think that's probably what I enjoy most.
