Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? Then, tell me about any internships or jobs you had before your current role.
Thanks for having me on, Gavin. I was a business undergrad at NYU and chose a tough year to graduate college, back in 2008.
I started my career in accounting, working for a local audit and tax firm on the East Coast. After a couple of years, I moved to the private side, working at a real estate company.
I tracked some of their portfolio companies and then moved out to the West Coast in 2015. I started at Big Five Sporting Goods as a senior accountant and had earned my CPA by that point.
From there, I had an opportunity to step up and lead the finance department. That brings me to my current role as the manager of financial planning and Treasury at Big Five Sporting Goods.
