What does the day in the life of a strategy lead look like?
That's a great question. As I mentioned, I'm functioning like a consultant within the business, so my work is very project-based.
If I'm doing a deeper dive project with a specific team or department, I can expect to connect with those folks and have a lot of meetings on a weekly basis. My company is fully remote, which is a unique and wonderful dynamic.
It offers a lot of flexibility, but it also requires more thoughtful outreach to build trust with people. So, a day in my life might involve meetings to gain alignment, and a bit of project management for complex projects across different departments or functions.
One of the nice things about my role is that I also connect with our leadership and function as a middle piece. I can work within different departments and ensure the vision from the top is connected with strategy across the company. This might also include presenting a project to leadership and getting feedback.
