What is your biggest challenge in your current role?
One of the biggest challenges in my role is common across many companies, but it's augmented by remote work. Remote work is great and has many upsides. The challenge, however, is connecting with people and getting everyone moving in the same direction.
I'd characterize this as a challenge because when you're in a strategy setting, liaising with different teams and leadership, you need to get consensus across the company. You also need to ensure communication is aligned with leadership's direction. This communication is more difficult in a remote setting.
However, this challenge also forces clarity in how you communicate. As I mentioned before, it helps you think through presentations and writing. This ensures that you're presenting information in a way that as many people as possible can grasp insights from.
