What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
Probably the fact that we get to touch every single aspect of the business. We're not just working on HR as a chief of staff; we are in the weeds of a marketing campaign.
We help get the contract through legal. We assist the sales team with coaching their sales planning manager. We look at whether or not their initiatives tie well with the operations side of things on the plant floor and plan accordingly.
So, a chief of staff really has a hand and a pulse on every single aspect of the business. I think that is so valuable in career growth. If you are dreaming of being a COO or a CEO someday, then this is a fantastic path because you learn so much about not just HR, but all the other avenues of the business.
