Significant Career Lesson From A Biology Project Manager At HELIX Environmental Planning
Katie's most significant career lesson is that "it's all gonna be fine," even when facing seemingly disastrous situations; this perspective, stemming from the understanding that the consequences, even in environmental planning, rarely involve loss of human life, allows for a calmer, more effective approach to problem-solving.

What is one lesson that you've learned that has proven significant in your career?
It's all going to be fine. It will all work out one way or the other.
There's very little in my job that is worth being extremely stressed about. Nobody's going to die. The worst that's going to happen is maybe an animal dies, but that is also very rare.
So, it's all going to be okay. Even if it's not okay and it really hits the fan and everything is awful, at the end of the day, no one's dead. Everything is fine. We will sort out what the problem is. The solution moving forward might involve fines or ramifications, but ultimately, it will be fine.
