What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
I really enjoy protecting the environment. My whole job is creating mitigation measures and requirements that protect the environment.
During the initial analysis, we create mitigation measures that will reduce or avoid impacts to sensitive resources. Then, during construction, we implement those mitigation measures. These prevent unnecessary and inadvertent impacts to these sensitive resources.
I am actively preserving and protecting the environment for future generations. I am also actively protecting sensitive and endangered species. It's really rewarding, and it's definitely why I got into this field. It's pretty awesome.
