I think it really does take somebody who enjoys being both left- and right-brained. It's a very process-driven role, and you need to be detailed, organized, and pragmatic in how you put pieces together and problem-solve.
Marketing is also super visual, and words are incredibly important. It's all about telling a story around your brand and product. So, having that creative part of your brain that you enjoy exploring is key.
This includes things like planning a photoshoot, reviewing graphics from your design team, or being the final check on copy to ensure it captures the brand's essence. I think it truly takes someone who naturally uses both sides of their brain.
Because in one minute, you could be discussing budgets, and the next, you might be selecting photos from a recent shoot. It's a nice mix of the two. I do think you definitely have to have one foot in each area.
