What did you do in college to set you up for success in your career?

I kept really busy and had a hard time figuring out boundaries. With that said, I really tried as much as I could.

When it came to extracurriculars attached to my school, finding internships, and eventually looking for freelance opportunities, I wanted to get exposure to so many things. This helped me understand what was out there and what I resonated with. It also led to how I built my network and learned a variety of skills.

I think specialization is so often hounded on students: pick a major and focus. I'm glad that I tried different things in college.

I knew I was interested in marketing, so I explored working with fashion, makeup, and hospitality brands. I also considered freelance work and whether I preferred social media or PR. I'm glad I had those experiences as a student to help me land where I am now.
