What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
I get to do something that I'm passionate about, which is very rare in my role every day. I'm really lucky to be able to say that I do something that I really love.
When I was super young in high school and college, I worked on a retail floor. I put women in clothing they may not have been into, or they didn't think they could pull off, quote unquote.
I saw how they changed emotionally and even physically coming out of the dressing room, becoming a whole new woman. She was capable of completely different things than she was five seconds before. I really believe in the power that fashion has to impact women's lives in a positive manner.
I love to be able to promote that every single day at my role. I also love that we are a women-led company. I don't know for sure, but it's 99% women in my company. I love that as well.
I love to be inspired by the women who are in these insane roles and have had these crazy careers. It's amazing to be able to look at them every day and emulate what they do for a living and learn from them.
It's very nice to work with people that are super fun to be with and have very similar interests. You get along with them very well. Really, the people at your company are key. If you're not into the culture, it's going to be hard to even do something that you're passionate about.
So, I'm really grateful that I work with amazing women.
