Julia, taking you back to your time at NYU, what did you do in undergrad that set you up for success in your career?

In my undergrad, I really worked my ass off, and I think that level of ability has really set the standard for the rest of my career. I always think back and say to myself, "I can't believe how much I was doing at that time."

I was taking the train four times a day, fighting my way through New York City weather, in heels, on the subway. It's crazy to think about how I was living my life.

But it was so humbling because I worked so hard at every single thing that I did, and I never want to lose that. So learning my abilities and pushing myself to maintain that, realizing that even though some days are harder than others, I'm still that girl just trying to work as hard as possible.

I was doing my internships, trying to get all A's, even though it's impossible. That set the standard for me for the rest of my career in terms of my abilities and my standards in terms of my work.
