How a President at Rudin Enterprises Succeeded Without College
Josh, President at Rudin Enterprises, bypassed traditional college, finding a mentor at 19 who steered him toward a successful real estate career; this unconventional path highlights that while college is beneficial for those unsure of their career path, targeted education through "masterminds" or other avenues can be equally effective for specific industries, as Josh's experience demonstrates.

Q12: College ideas for success
What did you do in undergrad to set you up for success in your career?
I actually didn't end up going to college. I met a mentor when I was 19, and he opened my eyes to real estate in general. I never looked back from there and have been doing it since.
I think that sometimes, if you don't know what you want to do, college is great because you might need a specific degree for a certain job. So if you don't know what you want to do, by all means, go to college.
I knew what I wanted to do when I was 19 and knew I didn't need a degree for it, so I went that route. I think there are plenty of courses out there if you don't want to go the college route that can teach you a specific industry. There are masterminds and all types of things where you can learn quickly for a lot less than college.
That's the route I went, and it worked for me. It might not work for everyone. It's not going to work if you want to be a doctor, but it's going to work if you want to be a real estate agent, for example; you don't need a degree. So whatever you want to do, just make sure you get the education. It doesn't have to be college, but you need to get educated.
