What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
Aside from my job not being boring because no day is the same, what I value and like most is that I get to guide young engineers at the start of their career. I have a chance to make an impact in their professional and personal lives.
I've had my share of bad managers and good managers, and I can say that either type really has a profound impact on one's career and life in general. It's also very fulfilling to do that role for our blue-collar workers.
Most of them may have only graduated high school. Doing something that directly impacts their livelihood and gives them a better chance in life is one of the most fulfilling aspects of working in construction.
