A Day in the Life of a Senior Consultant at Deloitte
A Senior Consultant's workday at Deloitte varies greatly depending on client needs; sometimes it involves extensive travel, "hop[ping] on a plane Monday morning" to work on-site, while other times it's primarily remote, starting with an 8 AM call and working "10 to 12 hours Monday through Friday" from home. The work always involves collaboration, client interaction, and extensive report preparation.

What does a day in the life of a senior consultant look like?
It depends on your project and what that entails. If the client really wants you to be there in person, what it would look like is you would hop on a plane on a Monday morning to whatever city you're at.
You'd meet with the team and the client, working with them every day, figuring out what they need, and making whatever recommendations you have to. Then, Thursday night or Friday morning, you fly back.
You're in the office on Friday just to do some housekeeping items. Now, post-COVID, a lot of people aren't traveling as much.
My day-to-day when I was working with the big bank, I always started my morning at my desk. We have an 8 AM call where we'd go over whatever actions we need to do.
I'd have something to do for the rest of the day and check with my manager throughout. All of that was from home. So, it just really depends on whether your client wants you to travel or not.
Usually, you're working 10 to 12 hours Monday through Friday. You rarely ever work on the weekends, and that's what my day looks like.
