One of the exciting things about working in advocacy is helping people achieve big goals. You work through political systems, usually at multiple levels of government, to help someone accomplish something.
It's rewarding to help people doing good work get support for their efforts. Working in advocacy and politics can be competitive, a "win or lose" kind of environment.
For those with a competitive drive, this can be very fun, and winning is enjoyable. Advocacy is often about winning things that are important to you and the people you work with. This can make it feel truly fulfilling and meaningful.
