How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?
Well, I think people need a certain level of intelligence. You've got to have a certain level of common sense, and sometimes those are two very different things.
Sometimes you have one and not the other, or the other and not the one. You've got to have some of both.
Then you've got to have the integrity and realize, "Can I go do this type of case and maybe fudge this fact or get this person to convince them to not tell the truth?" That's unlawful; it's unethical.
As long as you keep up with your ethics and act ethically, work will find you. If you're decent and you don't overcharge your clients, work will find you. I think that's the key. Those types of people do well.
