What is one lesson that you've learned that has proven significant in your career?

The biggest lesson is really don't be afraid to ask questions. I know you've probably heard this advice a million times, and it almost sounds like the less it matters the more you hear it. But it's just not true.

It's one of the most important things you can do because nobody enters a profession knowing everything. You'll be new to things all the time, every step of the way. You can have a career that's 30 years in, but there's still a lot you're learning.

Some of the most successful people I know aren't afraid to ask what might seem like dumb questions. So, don't be afraid to ask questions. It's a way you'll set yourself apart from everyone else who is too afraid. You'll learn at a faster rate than your peers. There's nothing you can do better than to ask.
