As someone who identifies as Chinese American, how has that impacted how you navigate your career?
I grew up in Arcadia, which was primarily an Asian community. Our high school was about 80% Asian, so I was pretty sheltered for most of my life.
There wasn't a lot of change, but there were some nuances. The beauty of being in the States is that there are so many cultures, and a lot of nuances between them. It's rewarding to learn about the different communities.
I don't think there were many hurdles because everyone was very nice and welcoming. For me, there wasn't much impact on how I navigated my career. It was just a lot of learning.
