What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?

I think I like that every day is different. There's always going to be new challenges, but there's also always going to be something new and better that we can bring to our readers.

I also really like running the team. Having been at Newsweek for so long, I've had countless editors. With every new person who came into the role, it meant adjusting the way they wanted things to run, even though I'd been used to something else and having success with that.

Now I get to set the tone for the team and build off of my experience as a writer for the things that I thought worked really well and things that didn't work as well and I think need to change. So I do really love that leadership element of it.
