What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?

I always knew I wanted to be a climate scientist. I've always been passionate about endangered species and wanting to help make a difference in saving them.

I never expected that I would love working in the public sector so much, besides doing research and learning about topics I'm passionate about. I enjoy speaking with residents, businesses, and industry.

I collaborate a lot with other states, regional groups, and sometimes even other countries to learn about new policies or regulations being considered to achieve climate goals. Finding where our goals and other entities align is always really [unclear].

Supporting other states or agencies in achieving their goals and helping the public navigate what can be confusing regulations or new programs, and providing technical assistance, is something I really enjoy. I truly enjoy working with everyone and being a public servant.
