Q10: Entry-level positions
What entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergraduate college student might consider?
Here at the Department of Environmental Protection in New Jersey, we are constantly having availability for entry-level college students. Typically, these are as an analyst trainee or an environmental specialist trainee.
Each position has a career track. Over time, you get a title change with years of experience. I would say monthly, there are new positions opening up.
They are all on our website and on the Civil Service website. So I highly encourage people to take a look if they're interested in moving to Jersey. It's a super great place to work.
There are also a lot of GIS positions available, and IT positions also.
