What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?

I see myself as working in two industries: book publishing and environmental sustainability. I have a background in environmental sustainability, and I enjoy working in a place where I feel my entire day is meaningful.

I'm an activist at heart. It would be impossible for me to work in a job that isn't within the environmental sphere. This is critical to my personality.

I've never worked in book publishing before, but I've truly enjoyed learning about the process of how books are made. They are an ancient human creation that means so much. Our libraries are personal and important, and books have a tangibility that's unique in our digital world.

I've learned about the book process and how publishing works, as well as the people in the industry. Editors and those in marketing are so dedicated to publishing. I'm not married to book publishing, but I really love it; who doesn't love books? I've enjoyed seeing both sides of that.
