What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
I love that. Every day is different. I do find myself getting bored easily, so I love the fast-paced nature of working in tech.
I've typically worked for startup-level companies, both on the nonprofit and for-profit sides. This allows for a lot of autonomy and agency to promote change.
The biggest job of a UX designer is making the actual features. But at the end of the day, you're also supposed to be the sole advocate for the user and their experience.
Previously, I worked at a tech company that served high school students. We were working on a product for financial aid affordability, and ensuring high school students could access it felt so important. Advocating for the customer is a core value of mine. Having that be my day-to-day work is pretty exciting and fulfilling.
