Transcript

Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college and any internships or jobs you had before your current role? Specifically, can you share how you got your first job?

Sure. I went to undergrad at Worcester Polytechnic Institute for a software engineering degree, specifically in Electrical and Computer Engineering. My first internship was after my first summer, where I did software contracting work for a government think tank in Massachusetts.

I got that job through both a personal and a school connection. I then completed two additional software internships, one each year after the school year. My first job after graduating, as a software support engineer at SAP Sybase, I actually got through their standard application process via the company website.
