What is your biggest challenge in your current role?
My biggest challenge might be more personal, stemming from my temperament. I'm a very agreeable person.
As you move into management, you sometimes need to be more assertive. You have to stand up for a particular stance or negotiate.
This is especially true for interdepartmental decisions, where I need to advocate for my team. My default is to avoid conflict, so I tend to concede.
Therefore, my biggest challenge is putting forth the effort to take a stance and defend my position, even when I know it's the right one.
