What do you enjoy most about being a creative director?
What do I enjoy most about being a creative director? It's the moment when someone sees, hears, experiences, touches, or feels something I had a part in producing, and I see how they react to it. That gives me a rush of adrenaline every single time.
I believe it was Maya Angelou who said, "It's not what you said or how you said it that people are going to remember." I know I'm butchering this quote, but I promise it's worth it. It's about how you made them feel that they're going to remember.
I try to use that every single time I put something down on paper or on screen. The idea is to build an emotional connection with an audience. That audience could be one person or a hundred million people. Seeing their reaction and feeling that from them is what gives me the high and makes me want to do my job every day.
