As someone who identifies with a growth mindset, how has that impacted how you've navigated your career?
Having a growth mindset is important for anyone, in my opinion, whether they're in this industry or another. It's really important to have that growth mindset because it's very easy to have negative thoughts or get knocked off track if you run into a hurdle.
A growth mindset will help you from a mental standpoint and with your mental health when you encounter those situations. In my experience, when I look back at the last couple of years, some of my biggest inflection points or springboard moments have come from situations that are more commonly thought of as negative.
For instance, COVID made it so I couldn't teach for an entire year, but it ended up springboarding me into this new opportunity. Having a growth mindset and knowing that a difficult situation can actually be a door opening into a positive one is really important when you're any sort of business owner.
This is especially true within this industry because things will catch you off guard at all points. Being able to be agile and adapt to those situations is really important.
