What have you learned about this role that you wish someone had told you before you entered the industry?
Before discussing interest rates, I wanted to know how long it takes. I'm still learning things, even after doing this for over 12 years. I have both a degree and the most rigorous certification, yet I still learn new things every day.
I would have assumed most people would say, "I have my college degree and a few years of experience. I'm an expert." I see myself as someone who is constantly learning. I think having a learner's mentality is really important.
I was kind of born with that, but I'm shocked it still takes this long. I'm constantly learning new things. As I said, that's because I'm truly interested in learning and I push myself to do that constantly. So, that's how I see it.
