What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
Sure, I would say two-thirds of my role involves managing client portfolios. This has to do with buying and creating an investment policy statement and investment objective for a set of assets in a client's portfolio. Essentially, what is the purpose of these assets?
Then, managing those assets in accordance with those policies. A lot of that entails being very up on what's going on in the markets, understanding clients' risk and return preferences, and how certain investments can accomplish those.
The other third, I would say, is more business development oriented. Meaning, I'm helping our relationship people pitch new business and bring it into the bank.
