What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
I absolutely love financial markets and economics. They're dynamic.
History doesn't repeat itself, but there's an echo. I find it endlessly fascinating how the economy works and how federal and state policy can impact returns on a national or global scale. I like helping explain it and trying to give people a sense of calm about that.
I think it's the intersection of working with interesting people. I tend to be lucky; I work with many folks who have been really successful in different areas of their lives. So, trying to help them get a level of comfort and understanding about their investment portfolios is really cool to me.
Oftentimes, if there's a crisis in their family, I'm their first call. That's a pretty amazing thing to be in somebody's circle of trust like that. It's really a combination of those two things.
