What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
In my current role, I serve as the lead or representative to our innovation board. My job is often to be a scout, going out to find opportunities that need to be investigated.
We are involved in a lot of financial engineering and the use of artificial intelligence to create better investment advice. I'm deeply involved in where we might have opportunities to distribute investment advice in the decentralized finance world.
This is often referred to as blockchain products that compete with crypto, but are still SEC-regulated securities. It also involves the use of artificial intelligence in the creation and development of investment advice.
Really, we're using AI as an assistant to people who are doing stock picking or looking at organizations from a risk perspective. I'm the scout: I find something, bring it back to the organization, and then we decide which opportunities to dive deep on.
