What do you like most about your job role?
The one thing I like most about my job role is the freedom that it gives me. No one's sitting there telling me, and this is rare, but no one's sitting there saying, "You will do these five things today."
My goals and objectives are very high-level. For example, I identify new business opportunities created by changes within the tech industry. There are thousands of ways you could approach that, so I really love the freedom.
I could probably just go dark and do nothing for three months and not get called out on it. But the downside is if you did that and you weren't self-motivated and didn't plan every day, you would hang yourself.
So with the freedom comes the need to perform. You're not going to be free if you're not performing, but the flexibility's great.
