What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?

We help people that others wouldn't. We look for ways to share what's really happening in the homeless communities and why so much of it exists.

A lot of people have their ideas of what they think is going on with the homeless, but it's not even close. They don't know their backgrounds.

They don't know that some people are doctors, lawyers, athletes, and family members who, through various reasons, crisis, and trauma, are on the street. So, you have to deal with them differently.

I enjoy the fact that being in this industry, I've learned more about people. I've learned the social aspect of it. I'm not certified in it, but I've learned so much that I can sometimes do better than the clinician when I'm talking to people.

It's not what people think, and there are better ways to handle it. I enjoy the opportunity to learn and offer suggestions on how to make things better because I'm hands-on, and I talk to the people directly.
