What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
In my current role, I assist the lab with the isolation of our plasma and peripheral blood mononuclear cells, known as PBMCs, from the whole blood of patients with advanced stage melanoma or sarcomas. We primarily focus on melanomas, as we are a melanoma cancer immunotherapy lab.
In addition to that, I help with biobanking. This involves the storage and correct localization of all our materials. These include biopsies, blocks derived from biopsies, tissue samples, and blood, plasma, and PBMCs. Cell lines are also included in this biobanking process. These are my main tasks within my current job.
