What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
Oh, without a doubt. The people I've been very lucky to work with are so professional, straightforward, kind, and deeply invested in their pursuit of knowledge and growth. They genuinely want to help and make their mark.
They truly want to find the cure for cancer, which is why I really enjoyed it. For those of you who will be looking for labs and helping out with lab work, you'll hear some horror stories about how people are treated.
So, just be mindful of yourself and be safe with how you approach things. Without a doubt, the thing I enjoyed most was the teamwork and collaborative efforts within my group.
I'm also very happy doing very simple things. I enjoy looping through the organizations and the materials. I actually enjoy the blood processing where I lay it down into those plasmas and PBMCs. It's very relaxing, so that's my little niche, I guess.
But without a doubt, it's the people. You'd be surprised how much you enjoy just hanging around with people invested in a greater goal or pursuit.
