What skills are most important for a job like yours?
I would say that the most important skill was actually creativity. The reason being, first, you have to figure out a way to solve the problem you're dealing with. Second, oftentimes a lot of the work we were doing was trailblazing, in the sense that we were setting a template for other people to follow.
This means that not only do you have to solve the problem, you have to solve it well. The first thing that comes after you isn't just solving the same problem again, but better.
So, that combination of my creativity, thinking in terms of how others can get or understand once you leave, was really important.
