A Day In The Life Of A Guidance Navigation And Control Engineer At An Aerospace Company
A typical day for Ife, a GN&C Engineer, involves a mix of technical work—"spending a lot of time using Matlab"—and collaboration—"talking to people," including other engineers. The balance shifts depending on the project, with independent problem-solving ("figuring out how is this gonna work out?") occurring when particularly exciting challenges arise.

What does a day in the life of your role look like?
I would say it alternates between spending a lot of time using Matlab, which is a high-level scripting language, and spending time talking to people. You have to spend a lot of time talking with other GNC engineers and people in different groups.
Lastly, there's spending time with a notebook, figuring out how something will work. I would say the first two, and then also whenever I got something really exciting, then the third. I think that describes it.
