What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
There are two parts to this. First, the people. Whether you like them or not, in sales, you work with people all day long. If you don't like the people you're going to work with, you're probably not going to like your job very much.
I love the people that I manage and the people on my management team. I also love our collaborators in other departments. Most of the time, I even like our customers, when they're not screaming at me. That's super important and makes the day-to-day work much more enjoyable.
The second thing, which is super important, especially early in your career, is that your best asset is yourself. I just like learning. I like being exposed to things I didn't know existed and have no experience in. I get to figure that out and learn on the job every day.
Over the long term, especially for younger folks, investing in yourself and learning a ton is the best thing you can do. With how the job market is evolving, adaptability is going to be one of the most important pieces of your ability to earn a role, particularly as AI emerges. Learning all the time fires me up and will hopefully help with job security in the long term.
