Significant Career Lesson From A Partner Employee Benefits At The Baldwin Group
Hunt's most significant career lesson is the importance of "never stopped learning" and being "hungry for knowledge and experience". Further, the realization that success comes from empowering and supporting team members to "blossom and be successful," rather than feeling threatened by their abilities, has become a favorite part of their job.

What is one lesson that you have learned that has proven significant in your career?
I think it's never stopped learning. It's definitely been a hunger for knowledge and experience.
The other complimentary lesson I learned, and it took me years to figure out, is that especially as you start to hire people from that position, you need to get out of the way. Let those smart, talented people that you hire blossom and be successful.
Early in my career, I felt threatened by people, and I think that was a bad approach. Now, I look forward to watching the people I hire and bring onto my team do an awesome job. I give them all the credit and watch their success be part of my success.
It was definitely harder in the early years to get myself out of the way, but it's now kind of one of my favorite parts of my job. I enjoy seeing really good people do great in their career and take it to the next level.
