What did you do in undergrad to set you up for success in your career?

I think Cal Poly's "learn by doing" motto is huge. They set the expectation that you'll be rolling up your sleeves and getting the job done. You may not always have the answer, but that mentality has been really powerful.

Combine that with technical skills like learning forecasting and financial management, and working with numbers. Being comfortable in that space is key.

When you combine those two things, you approach a problem with a really good technical perspective. You also have a good attitude for finding the required answer or solution. Those two aspects have been wonderful.

I really feel the education I received at Cal Poly was helpful. It helped me not see problems as scary, but as something attainable that you can attack, figure out, and solve.
