Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? Please include any internships or jobs you had before your current role.

My career started at Cal Poly SLO as a business finance major. That experience led to opportunities upon graduating; networking was key.

One friend, who graduated the year before me, encouraged me to interview for a job fair position. It was a good fit for my experience and job title.

I secured my first job out of college as a sales rep, selling partially self-funded health insurance solutions. This was a nice blend of personality and the skills learned at Cal Poly.

This led to a six-year stay with that firm. I then transitioned to a different firm in the same industry and had great career opportunities, learning and growing along the way.

Eventually, I became a partner at the Baldwin Group, where I am now. I've had a credible career journey all within the same industry, using similar skill sets and working in a similar capacity. Although the industry has changed over 25 plus years, I continue to do many of the same tasks I did after college.
