What is your biggest challenge in your current role?
With a nonprofit, the biggest challenge is sustainability. Some of the countries, neighborhoods, and places we work with lack sustainable infrastructure and organized streets. They often don't even have other basic needs that a school would require.
Securing sustainable funding can also become a big hurdle. We're not always sure where that funding will go, as there are very dynamic issues we have to consider.
The need for educational equity is vast. Working with different countries and environments where resources are almost always insufficient presents a significant challenge. It requires constant innovation and strategic fundraising to provide resources to the vulnerable children we aim to help.
