What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
As the CEO of a global nonprofit, I'm responsible for the big picture. This means setting the vision for our organization, ensuring long-term financial health, and driving strategic growth initiatives to reach as many children around the world as possible.
Our initiatives are divided into domestic and international. Currently, the Faruk Foundation supports three schools in Pakistan and six boarding schools for girls in Morocco. We have also recently completed two large water well projects in Sindh.
The international aspect involves ensuring our infrastructure is sound, the children are safe, and they have nutritious meals and other necessary resources. This includes daily communication with our teams to monitor the financial health of our schools, water well projects, and other initiatives.
The same applies to our domestic initiatives. We have a scholarship fund and a mentorship and internship program. Our goal is to ensure all students are doing well and that the original mission of these programs is being fulfilled on time.
