What Type Of Person Thrives In Fintech According To A Product Manager Engineer At Fintech Company

Honorebel believes successful individuals in the Fintech industry, especially leaders and managers, excel through strong communication skills, effective problem-solving abilities, and "being very focused about what the goals and what intentions are about whatever it is you're doing." In addition to the critical soft skills of communication and problem solving, Honorebel posits that a "hyperfocused" work ethic is also critical to a high performer's success, but that this is something that is not spoken about enough in career conversations.

How would you describe people who typically thrive in your industry?

That's a good question. If I think about the leaders and managers we have, communication is key. I would say they all express their ideas very well.

They are also able to problem-solve effectively and are hyperfocused. This is something not spoken about enough when it comes to high performers in many industries.

Whether at Visa or any other company, people who are very focused tend to excel. When you step into a role, being very focused on your goals and intentions is crucial. This is likely how one becomes very successful, based on my observations.
