What does a day in the life of an accounting and human resources assistant look like?

A majority of the day starts with entering timecards into our accounting software. This takes a few hours depending on the day of the week.

Typically, on Mondays, we receive more timecards from the prior week. After inputting those, I add any other deductions that need to be included.

Later in the week, my days usually consist of sending out invoices to customers. I also follow up with property managers or other businesses we've serviced and done plumbing for in their buildings.

My main goal is following up on invoices and ensuring we're receiving payment for all of our calls.
