Favorite Parts Of Being A President At Nature's Wild Berry

Hank, Nature's Wild Berry's President, most enjoys "giving people an experience that blows their mind" through product demonstrations, introducing a novel flavor-changing berry to a largely unaware public and constantly experimenting with pairings; this aligns with their personal health journey, focusing on "controlling taste instead of cravings" through innovative and healthy food choices.

What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?

That's such a deep question because there are so many things that I love. I love getting to work with my best friend. I love working around nature, and I love working with other collaborators who are creators.

The thing that jumps out, though, is giving people an experience that blows their mind. I can feed off people's reactions when, in real time, I can see them try to process: "Is this up? Is this down? Is this left? Is this right? Is this black? Is this white? What is happening to me?" "Why is this super sour thing tasting deliciously sweet?"

When I do demos, and I've probably done 15 to 20,000 demos at least, I cannot tell you how thrilling it is to share an experience with most people. And if you ask a hundred people, 99 will say, "No, I haven't heard of Nature's Wild Berry. I've never tried a flavor-changing berry."

That's my favorite thing to do, and I waste no time. Then, I'll challenge myself because I don't like having a structure of things that I have to pair with my product, with Nature's Wildberry. I like to just take anything that's around. So, for you, like you had a sour apple. "No, let's go with the sour apple. Let's try it." Let's try new things.

That should be people's mantra: Don't get stuck in your own ways. Be open to learning completely new things that you thought were impossible. When I first started my health journey, I thought I had to be like David Goggins, who had complete mastery and could control his cravings.

The more I learned about myself, the more I learned that I am an emotional person. I like to consume things about 20% of the time based on how I'm feeling, and 80% of the time I could say no to that cookie on the counter. But something happens in my life where that cookie is going in my mouth.

I have to have a hack on how to control my taste, instead of how to control my cravings. Because if I can make something taste sweeter than the cookie, that's actually better for me, that's healthier for me. It's a double win because I'm satisfying that sweet craving and I'm also not putting the stuff that I would typically put in, like the standard American diet. I'm using something that is actually improving the macro and micronutrients in my gut.

So, yeah, blowing people's minds and then always blowing my own mind too, I think, is a healthy combination between the two.
