What are your main responsibilities as a business operations manager?
My main responsibilities as a business operations manager are to look at the business as a whole, identifying problems and areas where we can improve. This is especially true in regards to efficiency and employee happiness. We have to make sure that the solutions we propose also align with the company's strategic goals.
So, we focus a lot on demand intake, or project intake. We identify which projects need to be prioritized to ensure those goals are reached. Then we look at staffing to make sure we have the correct people, the correct amount of people, to get the job done. Primarily, we're looking at progress with the leadership teams as well.
