What does a day in the life of a learning manager look like?
My day usually starts with facilitation. We have onboarding almost every week, so that means I'm facilitating every week, if not every day. It's very fun.
I love facilitating because it's rewarding to see the people for whom I do the rest of my job. My global team and I interact and collaborate through meetings. These are scheduled in the morning or evening, depending on time zones.
I definitely have lots of meetings, mainly because I enjoy meeting with people. I love to make connections with others, as it makes getting quick answers or connecting with other groups much easier. It's important to have those relationships.
I have many one-on-ones with people throughout the organization whom I enjoy talking to. It's nice to have friends throughout the company. This is usually how I spend most of my day: facilitating or being in various meetings.
I also love to have focus time for content development and updates. As the business and company change, we have to update our content as quickly as possible. I spend some time each day ensuring that announcements or new product launches are included in our content.
