Q13: How identity impacted career.

As a queer woman, how has that impacted how you've navigated your career? This was a huge catalyst for me getting into personal finance and investing. I had always grown up thinking I'd marry a rich guy, a doctor, a lawyer, or an engineer.

I realized I might not end up with a man, so I made it my mission to secure my own financial future and lift myself up as much as possible. This translated into my business, where I have a strong drive to be as successful as I can. Ultimately, I want to support myself and my community.

It's a huge motivator for me to teach women specifically. Historically, when women have more money, they often do better things with it than men do. The data shows they give back to their community more, pay for more education, and volunteer more.

All of this really impacts the world. That's why it's important for me to have representation for the queer community and for women in general. I want to show that there's a lot of power in building wealth and being good with money.
